SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE 

The main purpose of CRYOBIOMOL is to facilitate discussion about all aspects of CRYOBIOLOGY and related fields of science, such as LOW TEMPERATURE PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOCHEMISTRY and BIOLOGY, PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES, CRYOSURGERY and MEDICINE OF REPRODUCTION. All cryobiology methods or techniques as well as supporting theoretical and computational methods and applications will be discussed. ETHICAL implications of cryobiology will also be addressed in the conference.

CRYOBIOMOL is an excellent opportunity for scientists working in the above scientific subjects to present their research work to the international scientific community. Participation of young scientists is strongly encouraged.

 ORGANIZATION 

CRYOBIOMOL is organized by the Society for Low Temperature Biology  (SLTB), the Society for Cryobiology and the Centre of Chemistry of the Department of Chemistry of the School of Sciences and Technology (Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia - FCTUC) of the University of Coimbra. The meetting integrates the official scientific programme of COIMBRA 2003 - The Portuguese Capital of Culture. The congress will take place at the Main Auditorium of the University and at the Chemistry Department of FCTUC.
