 SLTB BEST POSTER AWARD

The Best Poster Prize will be awarded by the Society for Low Temperature Biology and recognizes the best poster presentation made by any person attending the meeting. The award is in the form of a certificate together with a money prize (amount still to define) and publication of the communication as a full paper in CRYOBIOLOGY (paper subjected to normal peer-reviewing). The major criteria for selecting the winner are the scientific content and originality of the work, the potential impact for Cryobiology, and the clarity of the poster. This award is not restricted to students.

Applicants should indicate their wish to enter for this award at the time of submitting their abstract.

SFC - Student BEST POSTER Award

Student MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETY FOR CRYOBIOLOGY (SFC) OR OF THE SOCIETY FOR LOW TEMPERATURE BIOLOGY (SLTB) are invited to compete for the Student Poster Award, which is awarded for the best student poster presentation CRIOBIOMOL.  Students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program or students who completed their degrees within one year prior to the annual meeting are eligible to apply for the award.  Applicants must be members of the Society for Cryobiology or of the Society for Low Temperature Biology, or must have applied for membership prior to submission of their application.  The poster must represent the independent research of the student either an undergraduate research project or graduate student thesis research.

Student Poster Award presentations will be judged primarily on the basis of scientific content, innovativeness, significance and impact of the research findings on the particular area of cryobiology and clarity of the poster.  In addition to scientific merit, the delivery of the presentation and response to questions will also be considered by a panel of judges.

The Student Poster Award includes a plaque and a US$500 cash award, which will be presented at the Congress Dinner.
